Matching

When looking at large South Sea pearls, each pearl can be of substantial value. Therefore, matching is only present when judging a matched pair or a necklace. All of the evaluating criteria, color, lustre, shape, blemishes are taken into consideration. The more scrutiny involved the more pearls are used for selection purposes. If the variation is minor we consider it well matched.
