The range of colors are body colors from a light silver gray to a dark black, brown and green, with overtones of green peacock, reddish purple, blue, and silver. Any combination of body colors and overtones are possible. Darker body colors are considered rarer and more valuable. Overtones of green (sometimes referred to as peacock green) and reddish purple (aubergine) are considered to be the finest and most desirable.
