Round, Button, Drop, Oval and Baroque
- Rounds and symmetrical tear drop shapes are the
most valuable. Rounds being used for necklaces,
and finished jewelry, drops primarily for
earrings and pendants.
- Buttons and oval shapes are usually considerably
less in value. Buttons being used in finished
jewelry (rings, earrings) and ovals in necklaces.
- Baroques are misshapen pearls, no symmetry, and
primarily used in necklaces
