- All round: When
measuring with a millimeter gauge, it does not
vary more than 1/10th of a millimeter
- Mostly round:
Measurement with a millimeter gauge does not vary
more than 2/10th of a millimeter. To
the naked eye it will resemble all round
- Slightly off round: To
the naked eye the shape appears slightly off
round
- Off round: To the naked
eye the pearl is off round (oval, or squatty in
shape) but still symmetrical
- Semi-Baroque: To the
naked eye the pearl is misshapen and appears to
come to a point (i.e. tear drop shaped)
- Baroque: To the naked
eye the pearl is freeform. No symmetry, and shape
of pearl is very irregular
